In a context where tariff measures could have a major impact on our trade flows, it's essential to exchange ideas early! On 13 March, join us at CIRANO to discuss critical issues and adaptation strategies at our 3rd annual GVCdtLAB conference. This one-day event will address key issues relating to tariff increases and their repercussions on the economy and the resilience of supply chains in the Great Lakes - St. Lawrence Corridor at a time when diversification is the order of the day.
A rich programme with an exclusive presentation of the digital twin of the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence region developed by the GVCdtLab, expert panels on the impact of customs tariffs, the renegotiation of the CUSMA's, the importance of digitalising ports and the resilience of supply chains...
The day will begin with opening remarks by Madeleine Féquière, Consul General of Canada in Chicago, and Steve Verheul (former chief negotiator for the ACEUM). This will be followed by a number of addresses from leaders of key transport and trade sectors, including Julie Gascon (Port of Montreal), Jean Simard (Aluminium Association of Canada), Mathieu St-Pierre (SODES) and Larissa Fenn (Hamilton-Oshawa Port Authority - HOPA), to name but a few.
We will conclude with working groups on the impact of tariff increases and infrastructure adaptation.
