What role can the Francophonie play as a space for economic development?

Our President and CEO, Nathalie de Marcellis-Warin, took part in a CORIM luncheon discussion on this important question.

Our President and CEO, Nathalie de Marcellis-Warin, took part in a luncheon discussion hosted by the Conseil des relations internationales de Montréal (CORIM), which brought together key stakeholders from the diplomatic, economic, and institutional communities in the presence of Her Excellency Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary General of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie.

Also in attendance were Mathieu Lacombe, Quebec’s Minister of Culture and Communications; Henri-Paul Rousseau, the Quebec Premier’s Personal Representative for the Francophonie; Anne-Marie Jean, Quebec’s Delegate for Multilateral and Francophone Affairs; Alain Sans Cartier, Deputy Minister at Quebec’s Ministry of International Relations and the Francophonie; as well as Anne-Marie Hubert, Chair of the CORIM Board and Visiting Fellow at CIRANO.

The discussion, moderated by Michelle LLambías Meunier, President and CEO of the Conseil du patronat du Québec, highlighted the potential of the Francophonie as a strategic lever for economic cooperation, innovation, and influence on the international stage.

The event also provided Nathalie de Marcellis-Warin with the opportunity to exchange with Nathalie G. Drouin, Canada’s new Ambassador to France, as well as with many stakeholders committed to advancing the development and global reach of the Francophonie.
