On June 12, 2025, CIRANO had the pleasure of hosting a student colloquium organized in collaboration with the Intergenerational Economic Issues Research Chair (CREEI), the Human Capital Research Group (GRCH), and ECOSVieQ. This event provided a unique opportunity for students to present their research and engage in discussions with their peers and field experts.
The program included 11 presentations covering a variety of topics, ranging from women’s participation in the labour market to internal migration in Canada, as well as the employability of immigrant populations in Quebec. These themes reflect key socio-economic challenges and highlight the diversity and relevance of ongoing research.
This event is fully aligned with CIRANO’s mission of liaison, by building connections between researchers, students, and practitioners, and by positioning CIRANO as a privileged venue for exchange and dialogue. It also contributes to knowledge transfer, by showcasing the work of young researchers and supporting the next generation of academics, which is essential to advancing knowledge and informing public policy.
CIRANO extends its sincere thanks to all partners and participants for their engagement and valuable contributions to the success of this event.
