The Chief Scientist of Québec, Rémi Quirion, has announced the September 2025 recipients of the Prix Publication en français of the Fonds de recherche du Québec, a distinction that promotes research publications in French and highlights their social relevance.
In the Prix Louise-Dandurand (Society and Culture) category, three CIRANO members were recognized:
Marie-Louise Leroux, CIRANO Researcher and Fellow, ESG – UQAM
Martin Boyer, CIRANO Researcher and Fellow, HEC Montréal
Pierre-Carl Michaud, CIRANO Researcher and Fellow, Principal Researcher of the Health theme at CIRANO, HEC Montréal
They co-authored the award-winning article La mauvaise perception des risques de longévité et de dépendance ne suffit pas à expliquer la faiblesse du marché de l’assurance dépendance (au Canada), published in the Revue d’économie financière. The project also brought together Claude-Denys Fluet (Université Laval) and Philippe De Donder (Toulouse School of Economics).
The Prix Publication en français, awarded monthly in each research sector, pays tribute to women who have left their mark on Québec’s scientific community. The Prix Louise-Dandurand is associated with the Society and Culture sector.
CIRANO warmly congratulates all the award recipients and salutes the quality of their work.
