Annie Royer speaks at the 2025 Strategic Forum of Québec Pork Producers

On November 6, the 2025 Forum stratégique des Éleveurs de porcs du Québec was held at the Château Laurier in Québec City, bringing together key players from the agri-food sector under the theme “Equity in a Time of Change.” One of the highlights of the event was the presentation by Annie Royer, CIRANO Researcher and Fellow and Principal Investigator of the Sustainable Development and Agri-Food theme.

Professor at Université Laval and Chairholder in Agricultural Policy Analysis, she offered a structured three-part talk: a review of the historical and economic foundations of collective marketing, a reflection on the concept of equity in collective approaches, and concrete illustrations of how equity is embedded in the tools and mechanisms used within agri-food value chains.

Her presentation made a significant contribution to the day’s discussions, highlighting the conditions that support fair governance among producers and across the sector.

CIRANO warmly congratulates Annie Royer for her valuable contribution to this important event for Québec’s agri-food community.
